Five Characters Appear In The Naruto Shippuden x Converse Collection

After checking off a Crocs collaboration in 2024, the Naruto franchise is taking its next step in footwear by debuting a Converse collection. Five key characters from the franchise’s Shippuden saga get their own dedicated pairs, all of which release May 22nd.

Four characters appear on the Converse Chuck Taylor, while Itachi, one of Naturo’s main villains, gets a Converse Weapon. Naturally, we begin with a design inspired by the anime’s protagonist. The “Naruto” Chuck Taylor ties in with the character’s outfit with orange canvas sidewalls featuring the Eight Trigrams Sealing Sign. The tongue, laces, spine, and outsole come in black to match, while the lining and edges add subtle yellow hits. A Hidden Village symbol appears on the heel, taken in distressed metallic silver to match Naruto’s headband, and embossed ninja stars (or “Shuriken”) appear on the medial Chuck Taylor logos.

Moving on to the “Sasuke” Converse Chuck Taylor, the design ties in with his “cursed” look with a silver/blue upper and thick purple laces inspired by his belt. The three-pronged Cursed Seal Of Heaven appears on the lateral side in black, while custom branding makes a return on the heel and upper Converse logos. Next up, Gaara of the Desert claims a red colorway featuring the stitched Japanese character for “love,” just as it appears on his forehead. Metal stars appear over brown leather All Star circles, accompanied by a tweed-like spine and textured midsole. Rounding out the Chuck Taylor slate, Kakashi’s pair comes with some noticeable hardware changes. Canvas straps appear over the tongue, and the heel is altered with an extra layer of blue material. Finally, Itachi’s Converse Weapon polishes off the delivery with an eerie black colorway featuring red accents.

The Naruto Converse Chuck Taylor collection release May 22nd via Converse and select retailers; the Chuck Taylor retail for $80 each, while Itachi’s Itachi’s Converse Weapon commands a $130 price tag. Return to our “Where To Buy” sections below for purchase links on that date.
