You asked and Reebok delivered, or at least it’s about to. Ever since Shaquille O’Neal was named president of the brand’s basketball division in 2023, sneakerheads (especially those in our IG comments) have been clamoring for a Reebok Shaqnosis retro. We’re happy to report that Shaq’s fifth signature model is set to return on April 3rd, marking its first release in the Shaq/AI renaissance era.
Originally released in 1995 and worn by Shaq during his final season with Orlando Magic, the Reebok Shaqnosis marked a departure from Shaq Attaq models released between 1992-1995. The sneaker was part of Reebok’s “Mobius” collection alongside silhouettes like the Blast, Kamikaze II, and Frank Thomas’ Big Hurt trainer, standing out with hypnotic curves that were only amplified by its original black/white colorway.
The upcoming release brings a pre-aged aesthetic to the model’s most iconic look, taken with a cracked suede upper in “Washed Black/Chalk.” Rope laces break further from tradition, as do white specks atop the black portions of the midsole. Shaq’s iconic “Dunkman” logo is stitched onto the heel, while the midfoot Reebok logo and outsole branding come in vibrant, Orlando-esque blue.
The Reebok Shaqnosis “Washed Black/Chalk/Blue” releases at 10:00 AM EST on April 3rd via reebok.com, carrying a $150 price tag. Return to our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links on that date.
