Turning back the clock for Prime's latest.

Nike Is Releasing An Unreleased Diamond Turf Prototype For Deion Sanders

The legacy of Deion Sanders shoes is secured in Beaverton, but as Prime’s product line crests in popularity once again with the ongoing bring-back program, the Swoosh is pulling back the curtain on its formative moments. Seemingly referencing a prototype version of the eventual Nike Air Diamond Turf, a clean white-dominant look is set to bring some unseen touches to light for the very first time.

The most significant shift from the hardware we’ve seen so far in the DT’s retro run comes with the branding. Rather than centering the Swoosh atop the mid-foot strap, it shifts into the sheer window on the side, bringing new leather paneling alongside it to outline the iconic hit and replacing the original trademark with spell-out Nike text. The palette holds on to the white/black/red split of the “Falcons” origins; while it’s unclear whether this references an unseen beta version, it does conceptually deliver on the idea of a “work in progress” before Beaverton creatives found the eventual winning formula.

Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf “Proto 92” should be hitting shelves in time for Summer 2025, retailing for $150 upon arrival. Keep watch over this release via our Sneaker Release Dates page, or simply enjoy the suite of official images included below.
