Nike has been upping their creative juices for their high-profile drops as of late. Preceding the wider public releases that happen on handheld phones and desktops, the Swoosh has been bringing releases back to the ground through some creative methods to stir up even more anticipation. For the Air Max 95 “Neon” 2025, it already went down weeks ago.
On March 15th, the Air Max 95 “Neon” was available in limited quantity at Blue Room, a vintage shop known for men’s clothing in the streetwear and casual wear category. There was no public notice of the release; instead, shop-goers were left to make the discoveries on their own. Of course, they were not expecting to find a pair of a pristine deadstock pair of OG Air Max 95s, let alone an official early release of the 2025 version.
Full aware of the shock value, Blue Room actually set up a hidden camera behind their industrial shoe shelf, capturing real life reactions to what might be the best surprise come-up of the year. Word quickly spread, orderly queues began to form (it’s Japan, after all), and by night’s end, the shoes were completely sold out. Look closely, and you’ll recognize none other than Chris Gibbs, owner of Union, be one of the lucky few.

The Air Max 95 “Neon” 2025 is still due out for a release on April 4th, 2025 at select shops globally, and again on April 18th via SNKRS. Quantity is expected to limited. MSRP is set at $180. Stay tuned for the official store list.
