If you haven’t yet adjusted to the sneaker loafer takeover, we’ve got bad news. The footwear world has already moved onto the next fashion-meets-function wave: the Mary Jane. Currently sweeping through the industry with answers from most, if not all, of the major brands, PUMA merged one of their in-house endeavors with the formal design via the Mostro Fey. Less than a month after its inline debut, the brand is enlisting Boston mainstay CNCPTS for the shoe’s inaugural collab.
If this is your first foray into the silhouette, obviously the spiky Mostro traction that’s been a calling card for the model throughout its lifespan remains intact, though while the sporty lace closure disappears in accordance with its new fashion-forward life. CNCPTS utilizes the silhouette as an ode to girlhood, marking the brands’ first collective take on women’s-exclusive footwear.

In accomplishing this task, the Boston retailer brings tackles a luxury lens, utilizing quilted, jet-black patent lather through the upper on the stealthy edition. That first pair is contrasted well by a far softer (literally and figuratively) “Marble Grey/Glowing Pink,” purposefully leaning into a rosy, feminine palette underfoot, a stark bit of contrast to the nearly seamless natural body of the shoe.
The CNCPTS PUMA Mostro Fey collection, including both colorways featured here, releases on April 4th via CNCPTS in-store (Boston, Miami, NYC) and online. Pre-orders are already available via CNCPTS.com – use this link for the black colorway, and this link for the pink. Retail for both pairs is set at $130.
