Nike's breakout inline hit goes tonal.

The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 Sets Up A “Sail” Foundation

As pickup hoops season comes into view once again, Nike is ensuring that casual hoopers have the widest range of footwear options possible. Outside of their signature shoes, the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 might just be their most popular and most impressive, and the Swoosh is dropping off a load of colorways to start April, continuing with the GT Cut 3 “Sail / Foundation.”

In contrast with the typical eye-catching flashiness associated with hoops shoes, this “Foundation” outfit embraces a more lifestyle-minded tonal air. Metallic “Smoke Grey” encircling a similarly shaded Swoosh, branching around the silhouette towards the heel, is about the flashiest inclusion here, leaving the rest of the real estate in off-white “Sail.” If anything, the textural aspects of the shoe are given space to shine with this edition, most striking with the interwoven anchoring flanking the toe and the perforated breathability notches on the quarter and heel cup. A faux-marbled outsole closes out this pair, bringing an elevated atmosphere to the blacktop as hoopers begin their pilgrimage back.

The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 “Sail / Foundation” releases on April 1st via Nike.com and partnering retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods. Retail is set at $190.
