If there was a proverbial “big red button” in the Foamposite retro effort, Nike pushed it in February with a bring-back of the Galaxy Foams. While no other revival can touch the vaunted status of that shoe, one whose sheer weight warped the sneaker world as we knew it, giving long-time fans a chance at shoes they grew up on or need a refresh has been a quality play for the Swoosh in recent times. All of that brings us to the Nike Air Foamposite One “White,” emerging now with official images and hitting on a concept from 12 years ago.
Indeed, the “White-Out” from 2013 is the one that immediately comes to mind, yet despite each shoe making an attempt to capitalize on a fully snowy profile, the 2025 pair arguably gets closer than its predecessor. Rather than staying true to the black and silver carbon fiber shank, here it swaps to a true monochrome. Additionally, the outsole shifts to a matte color finish rather than the icy translucent of the 2013 edition, a change that may make this pair less attention-grabbing on first glance but will certainly hold up better to the test of time. Otherwise, the all-white throat and similarly shaded iconic molded sidewalls stick around, only interrupted by black Penny embroidery on the heel. In all, it’s an off-speed pitch for a shoe that’s always prided itself on a tanky, built-for-anything air.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “White” is expected sometime in the Summer/Fall ’25 window, backstopping at September. Retail is expected at $230. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates as this shoe nears closer.
