It’s a bit ironic that the most anticipated Air Max sneaker release of the year is dropping outside of the month designated by Nike to celebrate the innovation, but we digress. The Air Max 95 “Neon” really needs little to no effort in gaining attention; it’s a masterpiece of a shoe that will get eaten up by sneaker fans any time it hits stores. The latest update in the shoe’s 2025 plot is the addition of official Nike images, included below. Scroll further for a complete discussion of everything you need to know about the 2025 release, so stick around after the break.

The 30th Anniversary Of The Air Max 95 “Neon”
As you may be informed by now, 2025 is the 30th Anniversary of the Air Max 95. Originally designed by Sergio Lozano, this flagship running shoe was simply called the “Air Max”, with the year designation added in following years as Nike’s Air Max lineage started to get a bit more crowded. There have been several releases of the shoes in the last three decades (see below) along with a number of variants; each and every time, they were eaten up by the masses. Simply put, the Air Max 95 “Neon” is to Nike as the Air Jordan 4 “White Cement” is to Jordan Brand.
Where To Buy The Shoes
The Neon Air Max 95 is scheduled to launch on two dates – April 4th and April 18th. The earlier date is for select stores and boutiques; the later date is for SNKRS. Below is an official look at retailer images of the sneaker. The shoes have already released to the public in tiny quantities in Japan; it remains to be seen if that early drop was intentional. European retailer 43einhalb listed these images ahead of their own scheduled release on April 4th, 2025.

It’s worth noting that the release is expected to be very limited (rumored number is under 10,000 pairs). According to the Complex Sneakers podcast, a wider release of the Neon 95s is expected in 2026. Nike has not yet confirmed this with Sneaker News.

A History Of Air Max 95 “Neon” Releases
The Air Max 95 “Neon” is among the most retroed, if not the most, shoe in Air Max history. These icons have released on several occasions since its 1995 debut, each slightly different from the other. Since Nike changed up the build of the Air Max 95 in the mid-2000s, this 2025 version is by far the closest to OG specs we’ve ever had. Below is a thorough listing of every time Nike brought back this iconic sneaker to the masses.
