At this point, it should be expected that New Balance can drum up excitement around unorthodox models. In fact, it’s many of their biggest swings that’ve been the biggest successes in recent times, exemplified well by continued sell-outs for the New Balance 1906L. A more conventional step in that same category arrived with the New Balance Allerdale, an ultra-premium product out of the brand’s Made In UK arm that tripled down on the brand’s lifestyle appeal. With the initial drop now unavailable in most adult sizes, it’s welcome news that the New Balance Allerdale is adding an all white second edition.
Just as the first capitalized on a one-note “Tortoise Shell” upper that both complemented its tumbled leather construction and created a link to formalwear, the follow-up reaches for staid white, equally suitable in spotlighting the shoe’s luxe materials. The leather liner further reinforces that atmosphere, while some strucutral reinforcement and comfort steps from the FuelCell foam and Otrholite insole that makes up the cushioning package — helping to actually make good on the “walking shoe” promise. Vintage off-white in that underfoot section rounds out this arrangement alongside grey hits on the hiking-inspired lace-stays and embroidered NB branding at the quarter.

The New Balance Allerdale Walking Shoe is listed for an April 4th release via a wide range of retail release calendars, of course holding onto the $250 price point. Check out official NB shots included below, and keep our “Where To Buy” section close by for direct pick-up links upon arrival.
