FC Bayern and BSTN Celebrate Munich On the adidas Jabbar Lo

“From The South, From The Heart” is a slogan that BSTN has utilized on a number of ocassions, but there may not be a more fitting application than their latest release. Teaming up once again with fellow German imprints FC Bayern Munich and adidas on the Jabbar Lo, it’s a celebration of their shared Bavarian links, expressed through the shoe itself and a range of accompanying apparel.

In similar fashion to the adidas BSTN Samba, the club’s burgundy and cream color scheme is adapted faithfully on the retooled hoops icon, coating the exterior comprehensively and planting the aforementioned motto on the heel with gilded embroidery. BSTN’s two-star logo crops up on the heel cup and influences a starry stongue pattern, additionally appearing with a remodeled “Icons” patch in that same section. The shoe’s refined style continues through many of the apparel pieces on offer, including a sporty track set and a rich letterman jacket. The collection closes out with a scaly kit top, inspired by the German wall lizard, as much of these partners’ collaborative work has been.

From adidas’ side, this continues a low-key push for the Jabbar line to re-enter the catalog as a lifestyle proposition rather than a basketball one. On top of in-line cow print editions, the Three Stripes has linked up with the likes of Footpatrol and atmos while teasing editions with Grace Wales Bonner, Jerry Lorenzo and Willie Chavarria.

The BSTN FC Bayern adidas Jabbar Lo releases on March 27th, retailing for €100. We’ll update our “Where To Buy” section with direct links upon arrival, but for now, check out the range of campaign images scattered throughout this piece.
