A “Green Strike” Jolts The Nike Air Max Plus To Life

Sean McDowell’s design may not be amid a major celebration like the Air Max 95 or be the belle of the ball via a run of special editions a la the Air Max 1. However, especially as Air Max Day 2025 looms, you can’t sleep on the Air Max Plus in the discussions of the product line. A reliable face in Beaverton’s Air Max retro efforts this decade, the Air Max Plus now captures a vivid “Green Strike” colorway.

Though it’s not the sunset-centric one we usually catch on the model, still gradients make an appearance on this lightened pair, with steely grey giving with to the titular “Green Strike” as you branch up the TPU waves. That same combination captures the midfoot plate and the midsole Air bubbles. Even if this outfit succeeds without any historical ties, it’s hard not to interpret the Air unit hues as a reference to the Air Max 95 “Neon” as that shoe once again crests in relevance to the modern line.

Expect the Nike Air Max Plus “Green Strike” to hit NDC and partnering stockists for Summer/Fall ’25, carrying a $180 MSRP once it materializes.
