Original Nike Air Max Plus colorways have been a go-to for the Air Max Dn throughout its time on shelves, so it’s only natural that Nike is now taking inspiration from next silo in the Tuned Air series. For Summer 2025, the Beaverton brand is dressing the Dn in new makeup reminiscent of the cult classic Air Tuned Max “Celery” from 1999.
As borrowed by British-Nigerian artist Skepta on his Air Max 97 from 2017, the original Air Tuned Max “Celery” colorway consists of bronze and green iridescent treatments atop a black base. The Air Max Dn does its best impression of the Tuned Air classic here, appearing with a brown upper, bronze mudguard, and lively splashes of neon green within the Dynamic Air chambers. The rest of the build completes a “Celery” theme in black, amplified by retro-inspired Nike logos on the insoles.
For what it’s worth, we saw Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 90 do a “Celery” impression of its own in late 2024. The Air Tuned Max “Celery” returned in 2021, but the model has been archived for three years and counting now. However, we can’t help but wonder if Nike is testing the waters for a potential bring-back stint.
The Air Max Dn “Celery” is has already landed in Asia, suggesting a stateside release is right around the corner. We’ll send out a post on the @sneakernews X account once pairs become available.
