Matt Varga Cut back to the 2024 Olympics for a moment. On top of support for tentpoles like basketball and running that are always massive draws on the international stage, Nike surprised both us and wide audiences by stepping into breakdancing as the it made its Olympic debut. With the sport shelved for 2028, the lifespan of the Nike Jam becomes a bit more complicated, but a window as a lifestyle/skateboarding hybrid seems to be the choice. The silhouette’s next steps continue to play out in 2025 via new colorways, including the Nike Jam “Armory Navy” at hand.
While breakdancing obviously comes with its own rigors, and thus performance needs in footwear, there’s already been a variety of signals that tip off some potential SB crossover: a collab with Futura, dipping into a “Pine Green” colorway in the past, and the bolstered overlays and cushioned foot entrance frequently seen in the Swoosh’s skate offerings.
On an aesthetic level, this “Armory Navy” sees the Nike Jam pounce on the cooler side of the color wheel, creating an aquatic foundation with the titular tone and “Light Smoke Grey” mesh underneath. A joly of “Barely Volt,” the venerable accent shade that’s defined Beaverton product for years, helps to add energy to an otherwise cool and balanced edition.
Expect the Nike Jam “Armory Navy” to land via Nike channels (in-store, online and partnering retailers) sometime in the next few months. Once landed, the usual $120 sticker price will remain intact. In the meantime, enjoy the suite of official images included below.
