Nike LeBron 22 “Frozen Grapes” Loops In The NYC Remix Graffiti

The Nike LeBron 22 already has some storied lore, his on-court choice for both his age 40 season and becoming the first to amass 50,000 points. With the addition of Luka Doncic now making the Lakers a real threat in the Western Conference, perhaps it’ll gain more significance in the coming months? Whether that once-inconceivable goal of a fifth ring is TBD, Nike isn’t wasting any time in pushing out further colorways of the King’s newest signature — the latest is the Nike LeBron 22 “Frozen Grapes” that features an allusion to some of his past offerings.

Spotted on the left side of either shoe, the bolded lettering, hitting on heavy concepts like “Fear” and “Winning,” comes from his seminal LeBron 4 “Graffiti.” Referencing a shoe that landed close to two decades ago may seen like a strange choice, but devotees of James’ line will know that it’s become an earnest calling card, already referenced with a pack of LeBron 17 pairs.

For the title, the LeBron 22 “Frozen Grapes” reaches instead into Jordan’s archives and returns with the indomitable mix of aqua and purple. That combo, on top of painting the graffiti graphics and coating the Swoosh, strike particularly effective with the two-tone “Jazz” style laces that interrupt the “Frozen” half of the shoe; its snowy tongue, liner and leather right side.
