The All-New New Balance 2010 Steps In With “Vintage Khaki”

New Balance’s current catalog is propelled by shoes like the New Balance 1906R and 9060, silhouettes that fully embrace Y2K designs and have become massive hits as a result. However, the more established side of the brand focuses on clean lifestyle shoes (2002R, 990x series), making it only fitting that the brand is aiming to further that vertical in 2025 with the New Balance 2010.

First revealed in a similar earthy colorway, here the New Balance 2010 embraces a multicolor arrangement that emphasizes some of the new color-blocking potential of the model. Particularly striking is the layered blend between pine green on the diamond-knit mesh, deep brown on the branching underlays and titular “Vintage Khaki” suede on top. Pops of grey and royal blue contrast through the sole further add to the eccentric overall atmosphere.

As we and other outlets have cited, the New Balance 2010 continues to read as an extension of the 990x design language that partially spurned the brand’s comeback towards the start of the decade. In similar fashion to the constant cushioning reinventions seen with 990v series, the sole unit in particular appears to be somewhat based on the 2002R, utilizing a similar overall shape but adding what’s been reported to be a new combination of FuelCell and ABZRB cushioning towards the heel.

Despite this official images update, release info for the New Balance 2010 remains scant. We’re expecting a launch in the Summer 2025 window through pricing is still unclear.
