New Balance Goes “Game Royal” On The New Balance 1000

Coming this April.

New Balance Goes “Game Royal” On The New Balance 1000

Especially as new propositions like the New Balance 2010 and New Balance 2000 come into the fore, the New Balance 1000’s time as the “new toy” in Boston is slowly coming to a close. Even if it doesn’t have the novel energy around it, the shoe still foregrounds the Y2K design atmopshere throughout the brand’s catalog perfectly, especially when they strike the right note from a color-blocking perspective. For our money, the New Balance 1000 “Dark Royal” is a perfect example.

Part of a faux “pack” with the “Dragon Berry” and “Red/Black” editions we covered earlier, the layout of this look is easy to register. A pure black foundation spins into a more vibrant overall profile with the cerulean overlays that crash in over top. In typical New Balance fashion, neutral notes accent those two primary shades on top, beginning with the steel grey “N” logo at the quarter and continuing with white embrodiery delivering additional branding notes at the toe and heel.

The New Balance 1000 “Dark Royal” should be hitting NewBalance.com and partnering stockists in April. Be ready for the usual $150 retail price upon arrival. In the meantime, catch official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates.
