We’ve been dissecting hoards of Nike ACG retro product as of late, but “modern” footwear by the Beaverton brand’s outdoors division has taken somewhat of a back seat in the past few years. However, it now seems like the tide is starting to shift. We spilled ink on the new ACG Ultrafly 2 trail runner a few weeks ago, and for our purposes, the Mountain Fly Low just surfaced in a new colorway for the first time in nearly three years.
The predecessor to the Mountain Fly Low 2, which has been an ACG mainstay since taking over in 2022, the OG Mountain Fly stands out with a uniform upper and exaggerated rope lacing system. It’s comprised of GORE-TEX material for weatherproofing, and rugged herringbone outsoles make for a trail-worthy wear underfoot. This colorway favors black and dark grey treatments, standing out with paint-splattered midsoles. Teal accents appear on the tongue branding, lateral mini Swoosh, and GORE-TEX pull tabs, while the center portion of the outsole livens up in bright orange.
No firm release date for the “Black/Grey” Mountain Fly Low has been set at the time of this writing, but we’ll update this article as soon as that changes. Be sure to follow us on X for updates.
Elsewhere in the Nike ACG world, the ACG Rufus is suiting up in denim for Spring/Summer 2025.
