The weather in the Northern Hemisphere is beginning to finally warm, which among others, means it’s high time for Nike ACG. With the sub-brand always centered around exploration, meeting more suitable outdoors climates has been part and parcel of the Swoosh’s strategy, and 2025 is ushering in a familiar face. The Nike Mountain Fly Low returns to shelves this season, with a high-alert red edition one of the first to emerge from that crop.
Initially breaking out of just the gorpcore world when the low-cut was introduced, two years later the model looms for an earnest revitalization. On a strategic level, shifting back to the modern classic model rather than continuing the run of its sequel or issuing additional editions seems like a case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” leaning on a silhouette already proven to be successful rather than taking further swings.
Though this do-up of the Mountain Fly Low uses complementary shades to achieve it, the ACG design language of pairing earthy shades with more eye-catching ones is still on full display, pairing the warmer hues with grounded white and black speckle on the midsole. Pairing form with function, this also utilizes Gore-Tex fabrics, ensuring that you’re well-suited for whatever environment you bring these into.
The Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low GTX will release as a part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 offerings, retailing at $180 once launched. Enjoy official images below.
