JJJJound Has Two Tonal Vans Half Cab Pairs On The Way

JJJound has become a reliable partner for multiple players across footwear, a far cry from the humble mood board origins of the brand. While plenty of brands boast a deep catalog of collaborators, what’s arguably more notable is that they’ve balanced multiple return customers, renewing long-standing relationships with New Balance, ASICS, and adidas in the past year. Now, the Montreal streetwear titan is throwing things back all the way to the beginning via the JJJJound Vans Half Cab.

Unveiled with a few Instagram teasers, the duo of Half Cab colorways maintains the tonal aesthetic we’ve grown accustomed to. We’re equally familiar with all-black collabs coming out of Montreal, paid off with a black suede overhaul of the skate staple, while a deep burgundy offers a slightly more vibrant alternative. Off-white anchoring on the tongue, laces, midsole, and a textured interior round out either pair, along with the requisite dose of gum traction underfoot. It’s the latest step in a journey that began in 2017 with a trio of Old Skools as Justin Saunders’ outfit started its foray into sneakers — doubling back with Vans is only fitting as their footwear credibility reaches an all-time high.

For those unfamiliar with the brand’s cadence, these teasers usually predate a further release by a few weeks. We’ll keep this article current with the latest information as it emerges, but expect a launch for these two JJJJound x Vans Half Cabs sometime in the Summer 2025 window.
