We’ve spilled plenty of ink on how expensive 2025 will be for Jordan fans, but don’t think Kobe devotees are off the hook. Between the first earnest retro of the Kobe 3 and continuing bring-back efforts for other models via drops like the Kobe 8 “What The” and Kobe 6 “Dodgers,” the slate is genuinely stacked for Mamba loyalists. Add one onto the pile, as a Fall release is coming into clearer view with the reveal of the Kobe 6 “Total Orange.”
Compared to initial mock-up images, the most considerable divergence is in the translucent outsole compared to the matte finish initially reported. However, much of what we initially expected from this shoe outside of that detail comes true. The Kobe 6 Protro “Total Orange” delivers on its title with a heavy dose of the sunny shade through the upper and midsole, with only a few chrome interruptions coming at the Swoosh and Sheath logo.
In our initial coverage of this pair, we noted that there was a chance this shoe represents the courtside moment between the late legend and Gigi Bryant, a famous still already referenced via the Kobe 4 “Girl Dad” in recent memory. Confirming the all-orange arrangement and silver detailing would align with that theory, but surely the narrative details behind this design will become firmer as it comes closer.
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Total Orange” is anticipated to release in Fall 2025, likely retailing at a $190 price point. Check out the fresh set of first-look images included below, and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further shots and more concrete details as they come.
