Andrew Rizzo Most NBA athletes count themselves fortunate to play in the league for ten years, let alone receive ten signature shoes. Come Summer 2025, Dame Lillard will join Derrick Rose as the only other adidas athlete to achieve the latter milestone. After being unveiled at NBA All-Star Weekend, the adidas Dame X is now beginning to emerge via official images.
The Dame X (Dame 10) features a shape similar to the Dame 9, but aesthetically speaking, it’s far more abstract. Wavy stripes span almost the full length of the upper, complemented by mesh underlays and an ultra-padded collar section. This “Core Black” colorway is one of several due out this Summer/Fall, taken with “Iron Metallic” on the stripes and “Ludic Blue” branding on the tongue and heel. As far as performance specs go, the Dame X features a Lightstrike cushioning package underfoot.
While new signature models usually cost more than their predecessors, the Dame X retails for just $90; thirty dollars less than the Dame 9. As mentioned, this “Core Black” colorway is poised to hit adidas.com and retailers this Summer/Fall. See official images below if you’re plotting to cop.
