If you’re a ride-or-die sneakerhead planning to get married, there’s a chance you’re thinking about non-corny ways to incorporate your passion into the occasion. In collaboration with adidas, END. Clothing has a suggestion. In celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Newcastle retailer is touching down with a “Tying The Knot” capsule featuring footwear inspired by brides and grooms.
The adidas Japan is the sneaker of choice for brides, while the grooms get a Superstar Vintage. Starting with the adidas Japan, the design takes inspiration from bridal gowns with an all-white lace upper. The Superstar, meanwhile, takes after tuxedos and formal footwear with an all-black upper, white contrast stitching, and an added, tasseled lace cover. Not short on clever detailing, the phrase “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” is embossed under the tongue of both sneakers. The “something blue” is provided by all-blue insoles, just in case you forgot. Perfect for hitting the dance floor after your ceremony.
The END. Clothing x adidas “Tying The Knot” capsule releases Friday, March 7th via END. channels; draws for both sneakers are open now via the END. launches page. The women’s adidas Japan retails for $140, while the men’s Superstar Vintage goes for $170.
