Reebok's resurgent basketball wing continues to deliver.

Allen Iverson’s Reebok Answer III Is All About 2000s Aura

Shaquille O’Neil and Allen Iverson are committed to rejuvenating Reebok’s presence in the realm of basketball. On top of a new performance model in the Reebok Engine A, the brand is continuing its nostalgia run with Allen Iverson shoe retros that hold their own as on-court and lifestyle options. Here we have a fresh “Black/Chrome/Energy Red” colorway of the Reebok Answer III; available now via reebok.com.

The Reebok Answer III debuted during AI’s fourth NBA season in 1999-2000; the year in which he earned his first NBA All-Star selection. It played an important role in expanding the breadth of Iverson’s signature line, worn notably by the Michigan State Spartans throughout the course of their NCAA Championship run that same season.

While the model was originally touted in full-grain leather, this latest release opts for black suede and metallic textile up top. The “I3” jewel appears on the heel, while updated DMX cushioning makes for a court-worthy option underfoot. The “Energy Red” accent color makes brief cameos on tongue and outsole, tying in with the black and red 76ers “Away” uniforms AI helped make famous.

The “Black/Chrome/Energy Red” Answer III is available now via the Reebok website for $140 in unisex sizes. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links.
