Original article published March 3rd, 2025:

CLOT genuinely hit the ground running in their partnership with adidas. Over a dozen pairs have hit the market in the brand’s 12 months together following the Dress Superstar, and with Edison Chen’s label continuing to push new product and new builds into 2025, that momentum isn’t slowing one bit. All of this work has come on either the Superstar or the adidas Gazelle, making it no surprise that CLOT is revisiting the latter silhouette for their first pack release of the year.

As seen with that aforementioned dress shoe overhaul or the welted, beaded Gazelle from 2024, adidas has given CLOT proper creative license, again the case for the two shoes in question. Either carries a chunky Crepe sole underfoot, pairing that refined touch with silken uppers that deliver double-stitching detailing. Look to the tone-on-white pair to reveal their Silk Royale pattern printed on top, a CLOT trademark carried over from in-line apparel and their Nike collabs of old.

Of course, though this exact hardware is new to the adidas CLOT relationship, Edison Chen’s brand has continued to push the boundaries of their sportswear classic into increasingly luxe and unexpected applications. Note, however, that the Three Stripes has utilized crepe soles before: KITH, Clarks and their 8th Street line continue to deploy the mash-up concept, while the German giant issued previous mainline takes as far back as 2023.

Regardless of the precedent for this capsule, both colorways of the CLOT adidas Gazelle are expected for the Spring/Summer season. Retail pricing and a concrete date are unclear for the moment, but keep our coverage and our Sneaker Release Dates page close by for further info.
