ASICS And Tareet Present “Label Liggey Yat” Collection At Paris Fashion Week

ASICS and emerging French fashion label Tareet are reconvening for another round of storytelling through bespoke footwear. Following their first official collaboration in early 2024, the two parties are unveiling a new collection called “Label Liggey Yat” at Paris Fashion Week in March.

Founded by Etienne Diop, Tareet communicates its Afro-European heritage through designs that blend Senegalese craftsmanship with French streetwear culture. The “Label Liggey Yat” collection draws inspiration from Fëgg Diaye; an iconic market in Senegal where discarded textiles were turned into new clothing, thus reflecting the eternal cycle of production.

Just like past projects, the next ASICS x Tareet capsule consists of babouches that merge ASICS sneakers with woven textiles. Elements of GEL-Quantum Kinetic colorways from 2024 are dissected and repositioned into the slip-ons, including the model’s premium GEL-cushioned midsole. The gallery below shows designs featuring piled shaggy fabric and animal furs, with more expected to be unveiled in Paris this March.

Tareet is bringing the project to life with an immersive exhibition at Espace Parallèle in Paris from March 2nd to March 5th. Looking at past collaborations, it’s likely that the “Label Liggey Yat” capsule will be available in limited quantities on a made-to-order basis.
