Floating around in both early information and early pairs for about a year, two-time Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome and his second take on the Nike SB Dunk Low already seem headed for that fate.
Jumping off of that 2023 endeavor, the “Asparagus” edition swaps to a more naturalistic palette but also opts for an all-suede build, resulting in an overall plush composition paired with the terry cloth liner. Pops of speckled suede on the overlays and a striped wooden pattern at the collar add further textural depth, while the Japanese champion’s already-iconic feather logo stamps the heel.
Overall fatigue with the silhouette makes the breakaway success of Horigome’s first go-around that much more impressive; it squarely sat in the SOTY conversation for its release year and pushing triple its retail value on the grey market — a repeat very much seems in the cards.
The Yuto Horigome Nike SB Dunk Low “Asparagus” is currently queued up for April 5th, retailing at $130. Like the 2023 pair and most special SB releases, expect individual releases at local skate outlets.
