Devin Booker has sported yet another Nike Book 1 PE inspired by another original colorway of the running/hiking hybrid shoe. This Black/Brown/Teal colorway was one of six original styles offered by Nike in 1991; it last released to the public in late 2019 as part of the Nike x Nordstrom collection by Olivia Kim. This PE is not expected to release to the public.

One of Devin Booker’s earliest PEs during the signature shoe’s world premiere is about to hit retail. That’d be the Nike Book 1 “Mowabb” inspired by the original Twine colorway of the hiking sneaker, completed with hits of teal and orange with a speckled midsole that does the 1990s off-road sneaker justice.
Right before the launch of that sneaker, Booker has unveiled an alternate Player Exclusive colorway of his signature shoe that explores the Mowabb’s catalog of colorways. The “Trails End Brown” colorway from 1991 lives vicariously through the modern day basketball shoe, complete with the brown upper, orange interiors, and bright purple ankle collar. The same concrete-like speckling on the midsole perfects the transfer of colorways. The brown Mowabb itself had not seen a Retro until 2021, releasing in stores again for its very first Retro.
Could Booker have other original make-ups in his rotation soon? There’s still the Rattan version, arguably the most recognizable of the silhouette, and the brown/teal version that last dropped in 2019 as part of Olivia Kim’s “No Cover” collection. For now, peep the on-court images of the Book 1 Mowabb “Trails End Brown” here.
