Jalen Brunson Reveals The Nike Kobe 4 Protro “The Natty’s” PE Inspired By Villanova Championships

Not one, but two. Jalen Brunson’s ability to win on the big stage has been proven. He’s got two championships as a member of the Villanova Wildcats, and as the March Madness NCAA Championship tournament is ready to begin its epic run, the Knicks superstar revealed a special Kobe 4 Protro PE inspired by “The Natty’s”.

Since his emergence in the Big Apple, Jalen Brunson has been wearing Nike Kobe footwear almost exclusively. With the exception of the Grinch and a few other retail pairs, Brunson’s Kobe rotation has been strictly that of the PE level, reflecting the level of esteem he holds among the Kobe Brand team at Nike. During the 2025 All-Star Game, he was the only player wearing the Kobe 5 Protro “Year Of The Mamba” in black.

A closer look at the Kobe 4 “The Natty’s” PE reveals an all-black upper with the slithery, scaly texture. A light blue covers inthe interior lining as well as the translucent outsole, while a darker gold emits on the Sheath logo on the tongue and the gradient on the Swoosh; these colors stand to mimic the championship trophy given to the winning school.

The New York Knicks All-Star wore the shoes for the first time during the February 26th match-up with the Sixers; hitting some key buckets down the stretch to stamp a much-needed W. Below is a gallery of images of Jalen in action wearing this not-for-retail PE (photos via @jalenbrunson1).
