thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 Releases Tomorrow

Big on retro vibes.

thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 Releases Tomorrow

South Korea’s thisisneverthat is the next brand to receive a New Balance 1000 collaboration, adding another name to a list that includes Joe Freshgoods, KITH, Aimé Leon Dore, and more to come. After leaking all the way back in October of 2024, we’re finally hearing of some release dates. The sneaker will launch via thisisneverthat on February 27th before hitting newbalance.com on March 7th.

As thisisneverthat is known for collegiate hoodies and retro-inspired technical garments, the resurgent “dad shoe” silhouette makes for a sensible, on-brand canvas. Much like their New Balance 1906R from 2022, the design goes all-in on metallics for an in-your-face futuristic vibe.

Familiar “Metallic Silver” overlays featuring red edges are pasted atop a white mesh base, with more red accents appearing on the New Balance logos, midsole, tongue lining, and eyelets. The thisisneverthat logo is stitched onto the heel, matched by more red co-branding on the tongue.

The thisisneverthat x New Balance 1000 releases via thisisneverthat.com on February 27th, then hits New Balance channels on March 7th. See official images below if you’re moved to add a pair to your rotation.
