There was a time when PUMA may have envisioned RJ Barrett being the face of their basketball division. PUMA signed the former #3 overall pick to a multi-year endorsement deal as a rookie with the New York Knicks, realizing his promise after scouting him at Duke. The “Maple Mamba” has since been traded to the Toronto Raptors, and PUMA Basketball has since found a true face in signature athlete LaMelo Ball. Even still, the German sneaker brand is continuing to treat RJ right with ample player edition footwear.
Here we have a PUMA All-Pro Nitro decked out in throwback Toronto Raptors colors, aligning well with the team’s Vince Carter-era City Edition uniforms for the 24-25 season. Purple suede is married with black and grey fabric up top, accentuated by a red, rugged Formstrip across the quarter. White-on-black paint splatter appears on the heel portion of the midsole, complemented by a dark blue outsole underfoot. Lastly, RJ’s signature “RJB” logo appears in metallic silver on the left tongue.
RJ Barrett’s PUMA All-Pro Nitro PE is available now in unisex sizes via puma.com, retailing for $130. See official images below if you’re considering scooping up a pair.
