From luxurious French monogram prints by Louis Vuitton to a python-skinned approach by Supreme, the Timberland 6″ Boot has seen all levels of execution to align with its full-on embrace by street fashion. The iconic piece of workwear has found a home outside the construction site and into the hands of the world’s foremost designers of cool, but at least Japan’s nonnative brings a relevant aesthetic.
Renowned for its stylish fusion of workwear and military garb, nonnative dives into their Timberland collab by balancing out the timelessness of the footwear piece with their distinct taste, specifically injecting a vision inspired by the Urahara/Harajuku street fashion movement of the ‘90s. Keeping to the classic wheat-colored upper, nonnative has chosen to apply a full hairy-texture suede upper, replacing the smooth “butter” finish that has championed the look since the 1970s.
There’s some added tech behind the look; its got Vibram lug outsoles meant for traversing any city street, while a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane injects the utility aspect that Timberland lovers require in their footwork.
This special edition collaboration is set to launch on February 28th at nonnative store locations and online, select Timberland stockists, and select global retailers.
