Though spotlighted product like the Nike Air Max DN8 steals the headlines, Beaverton has continually updated the Air Max line with a litany of more low-key options: the Correlate, Dawn, Bolt, Fury, Portal — the list goes on for ages. As the Swoosh’s 2025 offerings come clearer into view, that lifestyle crowd is gaining another member, the Nike Air Max Fire.
The eye is immediately drawn to the curvilinear graphic ridges on the upper, leading into a reversed Swoosh that cuts through the heel. Mixed media is applied in heavy doses throughout the layered composition, with ballistic mesh on tap for the foundation and textured synthetics running around the profile through the eyestays.
While each of these sort of Air Max propositions pull from the Swoosh backlog, the most easily identifiable aspects here is the sectioned sole a la the Air Max Plus. Said ridges that run from the quarter to the forefoot also call to mind the Tailwind series, rendered almost as a wavier version of the sharp triangular shapes on the Tailwind 1.
For this initial delivery, Nike has three colorways queued up: “Triple White,” “Triple Black” and and a fittingly fiery “Black/Red.” The Nike Air Max Fire should be emerging on Nike.com as a part of the Spring/Summer slate — retail is set at $100.
