Milky “Calcium” Accents Land On The New Balance 550

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, we’ll be hard at work unpacking what brands have in store for the spring and summer months. White and cream-colored sneakers are bound to be plentiful as we approach the end of Q1, but New Balance is getting ahead of the game with a milky “Calcium” 550 colorway for women; available now via the New Balance website.

Official images reveal “Sea Salt” leather across most of the upper, with the titular “Calcium” shade appearing on the New Balance logos and segments of the outsole. These would have been a hot commodity when the New Balance 550 was the “it shoe” of the summer back in 2021, but as consumer preferences have shifted to mesh Y2K-era runners, the release will likely fly under most people’s radar. In any case, if you’re still championing the retro/vintage vibe, these are versatile enough to be your go-to beater for the warmer months.
