The phrase “Black Air Forces” has become infamous. However, the shoe only rose to that level because of how unwavering of a formula it is for the Swoosh, an evergreen appeal that’s led Nike to print the dusky edition in plenty of offshoots (Carbon Fiber and a “Vanta Black” pair stand foremost in that crowd). Taking things into more delicate territory is seemingly the next step for Beaverton, unveiling a black satin Nike Air Force 1 Low.
The shoe does well in executing its title, delivering a heel-to-toe treatment in the delicate sheer fabric. In addition to the surface level overhaul, the typical flush composition of Bruce Kilgore’s design puffs out a bit, aligning well with the widened pink ribbon laces that slice down the stealthy affair. Some steely intrusions via the branding round out this colorway, imparting dark grey hits on the tongue and insole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black Satin” should land via Nike.com and partnering retailers for Spring/Summer ’25, arriving in women’s sizing. Retail pricing isn’t confirmed just yet, but we’ll likely see a slight premium on the typical $125, given the extra touches here. Watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for any updates in that regard.
Elsewhere in our coverage, Nike’s .SWOOSH pulled from some retro inspiration with their Low Poly “Donkey Kong” Air Max 1.
