Matt Varga Minecraft has been a cultural institution in kids’ lives since its beta days, the pixelated universe maintaining a foothold with adolescents for nearly a decade and a half. It’s truly a wonder that it took so long to mint a collaboration with Crocs, equally a hot commodity with the younger crowd. Following a four-pair collection in 2023, the two are reuniting for another step as the franchise looks to the silver screen.

This is undoubtedly some shrewd marketing on the part of both the Colorado company and Mojang. However, that doesn’t make this version of the Classic Clog any less faithful to the source material. Rather than adapting specific aspects of the world, an in-game vista plays out on both shoes, depicting the Dark Forest biome with dark oak trees and huge mushrooms. The requisite collection of Jibbitz charms offers further customization of the with some of the series’ most lasting iconography, including a steel pickaxe, Creeper, crafting table, dog and pig.
