The timeline of events surrounding the “Black Toe Reimagined” Jordan 1 has been odd to say the least. Jordan Brand initially planned for an October 2024 release, but then changed course by moving the shoe back to February 2025 – likely aiming to capitalize on UNBANNABLE marketing for the “Bred” 85s. However, by that point, most retailers had already received their shipments. As a result, the “Black Toe Reimagined” 1s are currently going for under retail on aftermarket platforms despite technically not yet releasing. That’s to say that convincing consumers to pay the full $180 sticker price on release day might be a challenge.
Moving on to the sneaker itself, the “Black Toe Reimagined” 1s take inspiration from a sample used in MJ’s legendary playground photo shoot; the same campaign that birthed the iconic Jumpman photo. True to that pre-release pair, which MJ can be found draping over his shoulder on the shoe box, the shoe features “Air Jordan” lettering in place of the Wings logo on the collar. The opposite side features a hidden message that can be exposed with a UV light, reading “My Very Best, Michael Jordan,” which is what MJ generally signed on memorabilia during his playing career.
As mentioned, the Jordan 1 “My Very Best” aka “Black Toe Reimagined” will be available February 15th, 2025 via Nike SNKRS and retailers. Scroll back up to our “Where To Buy” section for purchase links and visit our Jordan Release Dates page to browse other upcoming Jordan shoes.
