Of course she has a "Black Label" pair.

A’ja Wilson Gifts Dawn Staley A Pair Of The Nike A’One “Black Label”

Though their relationship began way back in 2014 with a player/coach dynamic at South Carolina, Dawn Staley, and A’ja Wilson’s relationship has now developed into one of deep mutual respect: in the aftermath of the Aces superstar’s third MVP trophy, the Gamecocks coach proudly proclaimed that Wilson was “the best player in the world.” As #22 adds a signature shoe to her illustrious list of career accomplishments, now the benefits are flowing the other way, as Staley revealed a “One of 1” Nike A’One “Black Label” colorway.

For those who may have missed NBB’s big collection for All-Star Weekend, the Nike “Black Label” capsule brought together nearly all of their foremost signature athletes under a cohesive theme of murdered-out hues and premium materials. With the Nike A’One revealed smack in the middle of its initial rollout, it wasn’t necessarily a surprise that Wilson’s shoe was absent from the festivities. It was almost assuredly just an unfortunate instance of bad timing.

With Staley sharing the shoe, we see how that same premium concept grafts onto Nike Basketball’s newest member. Given how pearls were a guiding light in designing the shoe, the shimmering finish on the curvilinear upper and the opaque off-white trim around the Swoosh are well-placed. In its material overhaul, the Nike A’One “Black Label” utilizes chunky satin laces. Finally, as Wilson pointed out in the comment section, the closing details might elude you at first: an alternating print of the A’One logo & the Swoosh and a cursive B nodding to the “Black Label” program (as Staley cheekily points out, not for anything else…)

Including an “A’One of 1” tag would indicate that this is likely a PE or F&F do-up of the latest A’Ja Wilson shoes. We’ll keep you posted either way via our continuing coverage and Sneaker Release Dates page — catch up-close looks at the Nike A’One Black Label below.
