This might be the final nail in the coffin. As of February 11th, the yeezy.com domain for Kanye West’s web store is no longer active.
This comes after Ye went on an unsettling tirade on social media, which essentially evaporated any goodwill he may have rebuilt by selling $20 sneakers (pictured below). Kanye also purchased a Super Bowl ad spot leading viewers to the yeezy.com website, which contained a swastika tee shirt. Former Shopify executives joined the public in denouncing the ecommerce platform for facilitating sales, ultimately resulting in Shopify suspending the domain. Kanye is also suspended on X as of this writing.
Kanye had previously been selling independently-produced footwear for $20 on yeezy.com, including new models called the SL-02, SL-03, and SL-01 (aka Yeezy Slides). It remains to be seen if this latest development marks the definitive end of Kanye West shoes, but it very well could.
