2024 was a banner year for the Nike LD-1000, among the more historic silhouettes in Beaverton’s backlog. Though a link-up with Stussy delivered on the usual Nike formula of a collab preceding a shoe’s full offensive, the waffle-soled model has been entirely an inline proposition since. With official images of new colorways landing, it appears that’s about to change, as Nike queues up a Size? two-pack for the LD-1000.
Though co-branded details are typically a must-have for any collab, both the “Burgundy Crush” and “Flax” edition on display here are devoid of them entirely. While that may call into question the actual collaborative nature of any other shoe, note that Size? already has a history of doing so. Many of their most recent Nike collaborations eschewed those aspects, included the remodeled Size? Air Max Dn and their 2022 Nike SB Dunk.
In fact, that lattermost shoe goes a long way in tracing back the design language for these LD-1000s, With the jagged stitching from that shoe grafted onto the simplistic construction of the archive runner. Either shoe receives a heavy dose of their chosen rich hue before closing with a cream interior and gum outsole, threading the needle between “unfinished” aesthetics and more refined ones.
The size? Nike LD-1000 collection is expected to land sometime in the Spring 2025 slate. While the model typically retails at $100, we can’t rule out a price premium on these two collab pairs. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for further info as it comes.
