Even the most unapologetic of Kanye West supporters are having a hard time defending Ye after his recent statements on X have left his fans completely flabbergasted. Perhaps he’s just trying to prove a point, that he has the power to sell his low-cost Yeezy gear no matter his controversial stances.
It didn’t stop him from launching a Super Bowl ad either, humble-bragging about how he spent all his ad money on his new teeth, leaving the actual production to an iPhone selfie video while getting. The advertisement ended with a simple message: go to Yeezy.com, where visitors were met with some new low-priced footwear.
The new Yeezy SL-02 and Yeezy SL-03 both follow the low-priced, minimal approach that Ye first established with the new Yeezy Slides aka the SL-01. Both arrive in all-black with bare-boned features. Ye actually wore the boot during the recent Grammy Awards where his beau Bianca Censori made headlines by walking the red-carpet in near nude.
As of the Monday morning after the ad, Ye’s site has removed all of its existing Yeezy product with the exception of a t-shirt with the Nazi swastika logo. His X account has also been deactivated, while his Instagram account features no content.
