Nike Is Using Its Super Bowl Ad To Send An Empowering Message To Women

On the night of the biggest American sports event of the year, where the most physically gifted and intimidating men duke it out for the most cherished championship trophy in pro sports, Nike is using its Super Bowl ad to send an empowering message to women everywhere.

Featuring a star-studded roster including Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, Sha’Carri Richardson, Sabrina Ionescu, Jordan Chiles, JuJu Watkins, and more, this new spot narrated by recent Grammy Award winner Doechii serves as an encouraging message to all athletes to simply block out the noise, ignore the doubters, and simply win.

Over the years, the landscape of women’s sports has been quieting the critics. Women have some of the best selling Nike Basketball signature shoes, stadiums and arenas are starting to fill up, and viewership numbers are hitting unprecedented numbers.

“At Nike, we make sure the athlete is at the center of everything we do, from product creation to storytelling,” says Nicole Graham, Chief Marketing Officer, NIKE, Inc. “We are at our best when we are representing the voice of the athlete and their voice becomes our voice. This brand anthem, featuring elite Nike athletes, is a perfect example of how we can inspire everyone to win, whatever that means for them.”
