Before there was Steph Curry and Draymond Green, there was Baron Davis and Al Harrington. The 2006–07 Golden State Warriors were a classic American sports story, the squad just barely sneaking into the playoffs after a 16-5 end to their regular season. Rallying around a “We Believe” attitude, the Bay Area franchise went on to shock the world by knocking off the #1 seed Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs. Pretty good for a team that finished 34-48 just a year prior.
With the Warriors preparing to host 2025 All-Star festivities on February 16th, Nike is releasing an Air Force 1 and Dunk Low pack tributing the uniforms of the “We Believe” era. Starting first with the AF1, the “away” design begins with a navy blue leather upper. The sock lining appears in yellow, and underfoot, the Beaverton brand incorporates a red glow-in-the-dark outsole. The Swoosh features a red and yellow gradient layer in the background, complemented by blue and yellow laces. The piece de resistance; the backtab features “Nike” text in the retro font utilized by San Francisco’s Muni Metro.
The Dunk Low follows a “home” uniform theme, taken with white leather and artificial yellowing underfoot for a neo-vintage aesthetic. Another red, glow-in-the-dark outsole lands underneath, and the upper sees a gradient Swoosh and more Muni-inspired branding.
The “We Believe” Warriors Air Force 1 and Dunk Low are scheduled to release on February 16th, 2025, retailing for $125 and $145, respectively. See official images below if you’re a Warriors fan looking to cop a pair.
