Comme des Garçons SHIRT Goes Monochrome On The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Comme des Garçons SHIRT Goes Monochrome On The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14

One of today’s trendiest models is getting a touch-up by the hands of one of the most well-known collaborations in the sneaker space. Comme des Garçons unveiled an ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 collaboration as part of their most recent Paris Fashion Week showing, expected to roll out as part of the fashion house’s FW25 line.

The formula for CDG sneaker collaborations is well-established; tweak up the materials and bring a bucket of white (or black) paint. That’s not to say that Paris-based imprint doesn’t get colorful from time to time, as evidence by their recent GEL-Nunobiki trio, but the majority of their output favors versatile, contemporary designs.

THE CDG x GEL-Kayano 14 features a mesh base and white leather overlays, moving away from the Y2K aesthetic often executed by metallic silver treatments. Light grey GEL capsule land in the midsole, while a semi-clear grey gum sole polishes off the clean-cut delivery underfoot.

A specific release date hasn’t been floated at the time of this writing, but that should change as we approach the FW25 shopping season. Given what we know about CDG’s pricing structure, expect an MSRP north of $200 when the shoe comes to market in FW25.
