Comme des Garçons BLACK x Nike Field General 82 Goes Logo Crazy

CDG puts a new spin on their monochromatic formula.

Comme des Garçons BLACK x Nike Field General 82 Goes Logo Crazy

Comme des Garçons’ Fashion Week efforts are often a notable bellwether of what we’ll be seeing on shelves in the coming year — jump back to 2024 when the Japanese label was the first to take on recent bring-backs like the Air Max TL 2.5 and Pegasus 2k5. If their efforts for the AW2025 are to believed, we’ll still be seeing plenty of the Nike Field General ’82 in the new year, as it’s the latest shoe to enter the brand’s wide-ranging canon.

As promised in the title, the shoe’s main draw is a smattering of wavy, curved logos across the upper and sole, with the Swoosh appearing almost melted in alternating columns alongside CDG’s “Comme Des Garçons Black” logo. Those familiar with the fashion label’s Nike backlog won’t be surprised that this collab is kept to restrained tones of black and white.

Note that this isn’t the first Comme Des Garçons spin on the Field General. Late last year, their Japanese accounts revealed first-look images at a similar all-over pair, this time utilizing a translucent gum sole and all-over “Market Market” print, exclusively dropped via the CDG “Black and Pink MARKET MARKET” pop-up in Harajuku.

Given the shots of the ’25 pair are just teasers, concrete release information is scant at the time of this writing. Expect a drop sometime in the latter half of the year, and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for further updates down the road.
