The Air Jordan 1 Low Hammers Out An “Aluminum” Colorway

The steely tint places this AJ1 between two of this year's big retro releases.

It’s a tale as old as time for sneakerheads: Jordan Brand has a major drop coming, so further down on the “heat index,” they roll out similar shadings on less hyped silhouettes. The Jordan 1 has been the canvas of choice for most of that span, leaving it as little to no surprise that the low cut version is tackling the same exact concept.

At first glance, you may think the Jordan 1 “UNC Reimagined” is what we’re claiming looms over this release, but we’d actually put forth the Jordan 4 “Aluminum,” obviously capitalizing on the same shade and white foundation underneath. An embroidered bouquet may not come attached to this pair of AJ1s, but still the identical hues can’t be ignored, the shoe at hand sporting the sprightly coloring in pretty classic “Chicago” style color-blocking.

As a Nike general release, the Air Jordan 1 “Aluminum” doesn’t have a concrete release date. In lieu of one, anticipate this pair hitting shelves and Nike.com in the coming weeks – you can stay tuned for updates on when exactly that’ll be via our Jordan Release Dates landing page.
