Original article published January 24th, 2025:

While Jordan Brand plans to release a “Valentine” Jordan 3, Nike’s key Valentine’s Day offering of 2025 is a trio of Air Max 1s inspired by mylar balloons. A pink and red colorway was unveiled during the most recent SNKRS preview, and black and white colorways have since surfaced in the lead-up to February 14th.

Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate love, but Nike’s trio of Air Max 1s deliver a different message; one you might be familiar with if you’ve been on the receiving end of a break-up convo. The laces feature text reading “It’s not you, it’s me” as well as “It’s not me, it’s you,” two phrases the accomplish the same mission, albeit the latter one is far colder.

Diving into each of the three colorways, the headlining member features glossy pink leather panels over a red mesh base. The black and white colorways are far less eccentric by comparison, but there’s still lots to love. Both looks feature alternating red and pink Swoosh logos on the lateral and medial sides, as well as pink Air units underfoot. All three colorways come with metallic “NIKE” lace dubraes, further tying in with commonly gifted mylar balloons.

The “Valentine’s Day” Air Max 1 pack doesn’t have a release date yet, but all three colorways are expected to arrive in February.
