2024 American Menswear Designer of the Year Willy Chavarria is finally ready to launch his first capsule collection with adidas. After unveiling several pieces in his “América” runway show last year, Chavarria is now celebrating his first ever Paris Fashion Week with a scavenger hunt style activation with the Three Stripes. Those who manage to track down exclusive access tickets will be able to purchase select pieces from his inagural SS25 collection, including two reimagined versions of the adidas Jabbar Low.
The gallery below reveals two altered takes on Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s signature shoe, both of which maintain Three Stripes DNA but deliver a more dressed-up, fashion-forward aesthetic. First up is the Chavarria Jabbar Low, differing from from the standard model with a somewhat wider build and fold-over tongue. Black accents rest atop a white leather base, a cream-colored midsole rests underfoot, and Willy Chavarria’s name replaces “Jabbar” alongside the lateral stripes.

Meanwhile, the Chavarria Jabbar Dress comes with even more drastic shape alterations. The toe box is narrowed for a dress shoe look and feel, and the midsole is made to flatten out as you approach the front. Two Jabbar Dress colorways have been unveiled, both of which feature black leather sidewalls as well as cheetah and zebra print, respectively.
Exclusive access to the Chavarria Jabbars and a range of apparel pieces, including the sweatpants you see above, will be given via special tickets distributed from a vintage Chevy Impala lowrider. The tickets will unlock a section in adidas CONFIRMED app, giving recipients a chance to be among the first to get their hands on Willy Chavarria x adidas shoes. The adidas CONFIRMED app and @adidasOriginals and @adidasParis Instagram pages will provide information on where to find the lowrider as it moves through Paris on Friday, January 24th. Chavarria will be making an appearance at the adidas Originals Paris Flagship the next day from 1pm to 2pm CET.
