Alex Consani Stars In “Love Me, Love Me Not” Converse Valentine’s Day Campaign

You don’t have to be in a relationship to embrace the season of love. As Valentine’s Day creeps closer and societal pressure to book a date kicks in, Converse just released an 11-silhouette footwear capsule alongside a campaign reminding you to love yourself.

The “Love Me, Love Me Not” campaign features 2024 Model of the Year Alex Consani, who tells a tale about the different types of love through different Converse shoes. The brand’s video spot features two versions of Alex, with one giving off a flirty “Love Me” vibe and the other giving “Love Me Not” edginess. This duality is used to highlight the collection’s two standout shoes, which are of course in stark opposition to one another from an aesthetic standpoint.

The “Love Me” side of the collection is anchored by an “Egret” Chuck 70 High featuring small ribbon-style roses, while the “Love Me Not” side is led by a Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel Platform with metallic silver hearts. More high and low-top Chuck 70s for women and kids are included in the “Love Me” genre, as are a handful of platformed, “lifted” options. The rest of the “Love Me Not” side is fairly scant by comparison, with a selection of black and red Mary Jane Chuck 70s rounding out the category.

The “Love Me, Love Me Not” collection is now available in full via converse.com, including eleven shoe silhouettes and three apparel items.

Staying on the Valentine’s Day beat, check out the “Valentine” Jordan 3 releasing February 1st.
