Air Jordan 4 “UNC” PE Revealed With Even More University Blue

Only the best for Michael Jordan’s alma mater. The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball account recently shared images of a new Air Jordan 4 PE on Instagram, and it’s a beauty to say the least.

Monochromatic “University Blue” coats the entire shoe, masterfully balancing between light and dark shades throughout. A buttery suede base gives way to textured leather on the toe, tongue, and backtab, and moreover, the wings and lower eyestay appear to feature an ultra-thin layer of suede over the TPU material. The gallery below also showcases an array of metallic gold touches, including a lace dubrae reading “UNC” and gold Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel – both of which feature crystal “basketballs” on the end of Mike’s dunking hand.

The shoe makes a strong case for being the best “UNC” Jordan 4 PE of all time, and while the school boasts an unrivaled archive of athlete-exclusive Jordans, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it top collectors’ most wanted lists. With that being said; the design isn’t entirely new. Jordan Brand gifted select Jordan athletes in the WNBA a “First Class” Jordan 4 last year, which featured a similar material variety and the same crystal-clad Jumpman logos.

While the “UNC” Jordan 4 PE won’t see a public release, the scope of 2025 Jordan releases includes several top-shelf AJ4s that sneakerheads will actually have a chance to pick up, including the Undefeated 4s and Black Cat 4s to name a couple. Our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page will be kept current as the year rolls on.
