Now very much a part of New Balance’s retro line-up, the 1000 silhouette looks to be entering a new phase in the new year: metallic.
Set to launch as part of the brand’s Spring 2025 in-line array of retro product is the New Balance 1000 “Metallic Royal”; it features a mudguard boasting a shiny finish in an attractive blue hue, matched with cool grey upper quarters and matching N logos. Black is relied on as the base layer for this $150 sneaker as it lines the interior while dominating the entirety of the midsoles.
With the New Balance 1000 now in the periphery, it leads us to wonder why the model hasn’t seen much in terms of collaborations; after Aime Leon Dore and Joe Freshgoods got their respective turns, the 1000 hasn’t been given priority in terms of partner projects. Hopefully that changes moving forward, because as you can tell, the 1000 has plenty of potential.
Look out for this New Balance 1000 to hit newbalance.com soon. In other brand news, the Jjjjound New Balance 993 release details have been confirmed.
